Technical Manager – Meat Processing

Ausvision Meat Processors PL trading as Beaufort River Meats specialises in meat processing and trading, selling meat proteins domestically and internationally.  The company continues to grow and is now doing business in almost all the markets in the world. Beaufort River Meats is located 220km South of Perth on Albany Highway processing lamb, mutton, goats and deer with a maximum slaughter capacity of 2500 head per day.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Manager, who enjoys working in a safe and supportive environment.  Candidates will require a knowledge and experience in food processing along with some of the following qualifications:

  • Commitment to ongoing employment;
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Certified HACCP training;
  • AUSMEAT sheep meat product specification Level 2 accreditation (Standards Officer);
  • Internal Audit Training;
  • A keen and proactive work attitude;
  • Time management skills;
  • Drivers licence & own transport.

A basic list of duties performed in this position will include:

  • Maintain all compliance – processing, market access, environmental, legislative requirement, licences, standards, systems and procedures for an export food processing facility
  • Managing, Leading, Mentoring, Coaching, Training and Developing staff
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with all internal and external Key Personal, businesses and organisations. Inform Plant Manager of any issues that may impact on Profitability, DIFOTIS or Customer Satisfaction.
  • Prepare timely, in depth, accurate reports regarding Compliance operations and progress.
  • Deliver continuous improvements for product quality, development and enhancement to improve quality and compliance through structural, processing and system best practice.
  • Processing and product monitoring
  • AUSMEAT monitoring
  • Microbiological sample preparation, collection and analysis
  • Instrument Calibrations
